Street Naming And Postal Numbering

Building Services are responsible for the naming of streets and numbering of properties within the Borough. When streets are officially named, all the relevant statutory bodies are notified and the properties are numbered accordingly. It is very important that the naming and numbering of streets is carried out at the early stage of a new developments so that the new home owners have the correct postal address when they move in. This also aids the emergency services when they are responding to calls.
