‘Boating is supposed to be fun, a leisurely activity.’ Our aim through the RYA Active Marina Programme is to enhance your sailing experience, increase your confidence and relieve your stress.

As part of the new criteria for TYHA 5 Gold Anchor Accreditation the RYA is helping Marina’s develop activity programmes for Berth Holders. The objective is to help Berth Holders use their boats more often by increasing confidence and competence through practical and shore based workshops throughout the season.

The event based programme incorporates: training, cruising and social activities for Berth Holders.

We have already hosted 2 very successful seminars incorporating the following topics: Seamanship and Safety, Tides and Tidal Streams, Rules of the Road, Marina Etiquette and First Aid. We also offer 2 hour complimentary on the water tuition, which has proved a real hit with Berth Holders.

We are currently scheduling classes for the start of the season. If you would like more information, please contact us at the Marina Reception.
